# Mobile

Faceplugin ID Document Recognition Mobile SDK. On-premise passport OCR and ID card verification for Android, iOS, Flutter, React Native, and Ionic.

Capture and read identity documents on the device. Camera locate overlay (corners only — no OCR on every frame), then `recognize` / `documentProcess` for OCR, MRZ, barcode, image quality, and optional authenticity.

Every platform returns the same field set: [Document result JSON](/products/id-document-recognition-sdk/document-result-json.md). Authenticity names: [Document security check fields](/products/id-document-recognition-sdk/document-security-check-fields.md).

For HTTP APIs on Windows, Linux, and Docker, use [Server SDK](/products/id-document-recognition-sdk/recognition-and-liveness/server-sdk.md). Prefer [Ionic Capacitor](/products/id-document-recognition-sdk/recognition-and-liveness/mobile-sdk/id-document-recognition-ionic-capacitor-sdk.md) over Cordova for new Ionic apps.

### FAQ

**Does this do passport OCR on the phone?** Yes. `recognize` / `documentProcess` return OCR, MRZ, barcode, and crops. See [Document result JSON](/products/id-document-recognition-sdk/document-result-json.md).

**Is authenticity included?** Only with a Liveness-capable license. Otherwise use [ID Document Liveness](/products/id-document-recognition-sdk/id-document-liveness-sdk.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://doc.faceplugin.com/products/id-document-recognition-sdk/recognition-and-liveness/mobile-sdk.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
